The Core making process

If the desired piece has internal cavities, cores are used, that is, other parts of mould prepared in special production phases; the cores form the internal geometry of the casting.

The making of the cores is carried out both with a cold-box system (cold core box) in a special department, equipped with five stations consisting of core shooting machines from 5 to 40 litres and a gassing system with amino catalyst, and with a self-hardening, no-bake process.
